Webalizer not working on Ubuntu

One of my Ubuntu based VPS had Webalizer installed to collect stats from webserver but it was not working because I could see not stats at /webalizer/. If thats the case with you try the following 1) Try running the webalizer crontab [code]root@backups:~# /etc/cron.daily/webalizer Error Opening file /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat[/code] So we have identified the culprit that geoip-database is not installed. 2) Fix this by installing geoip-database [code]root@backups:~# apt-get install geoip-database[/code] (more…)

I needed to get my HTC Desire HD's volume key repaired even though it was Nnot in warrenty and Not purchased from Brightex but to my surprise the helpline was very proactive and welcome-ing in offering their services. Of course the services were paid for but at least I had the peace of mind for getting them fixed from the pros. Thats another reason to buy HTC hardware HTC Helpline in Lahore is being offered by Brightex, the official distributor of HTC at 111-111-HTC (111-111-482)

cPanel/WHM 11.30 now supports MySQL TRIGGERS and VIEW privileges

I just noticed that cPanel/WHM 11.30 now supports MySQL TRIGGERS and VIEW privileges. From the official release notes In 11.30 we are adding support for the MySQL TRIGGER and VIEW privileges. Systems using MySQL 5.0 and higher can use the VIEW privilege. This privilege will grant the database user the CREATE VIEW and SHOW VIEW MySQL privileges. When using MySQL 5.0, the SUPER privilege is required for the TRIGGER privilege. Due to this caveat, we will not support the TRIGGER privilege on systems using MySQL 5.0. Systems using MySQL 5.1 and higher can enable and use the TRIGGER privilege. However, this privilege is not available if binary logging is enabled for the MySQL service. Neither TRIGGER nor VIEW is available to systems using MySQL 4.0 or 4.1.
